I'm so sick of holding my tongue
When it comes to you,
Crawling with broken wings
Toward the light,

There's nothing left to say
Yet so many words
That wait on my tongue,
Hanging like a barbed wire noose
Around my heart...

In a sinister world
You've been backed into a corner,
Trapped against your will,
For as long as you can remember
So now you like the corner...

Just the same as me,
An eternity locked away,
I gaze at the pitiful world
And from what I see between the bars
RainbowsI see only the darkness
Enclosing me within loving arms
Once again,
Silken smooth tendrils
Forged from the purest hatred...

And suddenly I am small again,
Youthful bliss
Comes to carry me back home.

Is there somewhere I can go?
I don't belong anywhere;
Not in this place
Nor on this earth...
This world is too much for me,
Or I'm much too much for it.

It's the worst kind of pain
Having to go on and on,
Becoming endless...
When you know
Your heart is only meant to break.

Fighting so hard
For a forsaken memory,
Only to fall
After so much time spent
Learning to fly...

Experiencing something new

But our rage burns brighter and hotter
With each step we take
Growing colder and darker,
The further from one another we get.

Things are better this way...

But still I won't forget,
The way you smiled at me
And how you used to laugh with me...

The way you tried so hard

A dying star...

Fading from existence,
So lost and forlorn
There is nowhere left to go
Nothing else to do
All is left unsaid...

And finally...

Engines blaring and racing faster,
As I take the turn
My heart races at the same speed,
Taking control of my destiny
A little too late and it's coming too fast...

Quickened pulse and lying signs,
I crossed the bridge,
Closing the gap between two souls...
The road ran out too fast.

And as I plummet without regret
All I can think of...
Are the things that I have left undone;
I eagerly accept my death.

This is for :iconkujosbloodstrewnmoon: a drawing of the wolf she saw in her dreams. :love: I love when artists share things like that and I hope someday I can too. This is also for her birthday, which is Jan 31st but I'm posting it a few days early. I've had it done for a while now, in between commissions and other obligations. And tonight is the Wolf Moon, so it seemed fitting. :heart:
