The Animae [Of the Soul] (OPEN)I've been over over and over or the past few months on the design of my species now that its final and :iconKainaa: drew me an amazingly adorable line art of it I can begin...then I found myself stuck again. I've had several different idea's on what it should actually be. At first this species was part of role-play of mine that lived on a lush tropical land but that was going to be both normal and man made. The Animae (A-ne-ma Latin for "Of the Soul") was a small creature that roamed the lands and could live in any kind of climate making them appear in various kinds of sizes and coat colors. Some have long legs and short tails for life on mountains and harsh conditions, others will thicker coats, shorter legs, with or without horns. Their features could tell a person of the conditions in that particular part of the world, so they were nicknamed the soul of the planet or "Animae".
Though I thought this to be difficult and would keep these versions of the Animae in my rp, now what to do

Bleeding, despite the rain,
And now… I am done with you.

A monster down to the bone,
Such morbid truth has been shown…

ForevermorePerching darkly on my windowsill
With blood red eyes, and poised to kill,
A raven sits with midnight wings
Darkness and death, such dreams it brings.

Something morbid, something wicked waits.
It's bitter and it's cursing, how it hates,
Sealed with kisses from a maddened wraith,
Stealing my soul and taking all faith.

Suffering such vengeful wrath, hollow like the moon
As we dance to the wolves' invisible tune,
Frosted over mirror, cold like a corpse,
Time shifts around itself as reality warps.

Decadence lends itself to such betrayal,
Tender beauty and a heart so pale,
Dripping darkly, across bleeding skies,
Shifting into somethi

BlindedDescending into sadness,
So dark you can't even cry,
Sorrow sweeps over your heart,
Cannot see a thing,
For all the blinding light.

This is what I am forced to feel,
Every second of dreary existence,
I pour your liquid love
Into and out of my eyes,
Shine thy light,
And show me my truth.

I can never be whole again,
I was the one who broke myself,
So sadly, so long ago,
In the forest where my heart revived,
My soul was torn in two.

Tender and loving, so cruel,
And hostile and cold and vile,
At the end of the day,
It doesn't matter who you are,
Known by a thousand names,
Only one of them matters.

Things merely hidden,
