Lao

I finally finished this pic! It took FOREVER! This took the most time of anything I've ever drawn before. I'm not totally happy with it, but... I might touch this up again later, but I doubt it.

This is my Demon OC, Lao. He used to be a human... It's a long story, but he lost his eye shortly after he was transformed into a demon. So he's blind in his right eye. That's also why he has a scar. His right eye is a light, ice blue while his left is a vivid orange.

He's a pretty easy-going person and tends to be laid back most of the time. But he's not the type you would want to anger, believe me. He maintains a cool facade, but on the inside he is seething with rage... He struggles a lot with his dual-nature. His light complexion hides a dark heart. He is a Gemini; his birthday is May 24th.

I'll be updating more about that story and I will probably write it eventually. Still working on ideas and getting everything figured out. He has a brother and a sister, I'll draw them both soon. My other OC Cage has something to do with their story as well.

Technical stuffs:

I used PaintToolSAI for most of this, but Photoshop for some of the effects. I'm starting to like SAI more and more...

I think I'm getting better at a lot of things now... Backgrounds used to be such a pain, but this one actually came together nicely. His hair gave me the most trouble, like always. I want to fix it, but I'm afraid to do anything else to it. It was exhausting getting it to look even remotely okay. So I don't want to mess it up. Small mistakes here and there, but it's nothing I can't live with. His eyes were sort of a happy accident. I didn't expect them to come out that nice. OwO I love his face. <3
