Literature Text

I am standing here, unmoved and unchanging;
Disgusted by the vile habits of old,
As I weep for the destiny of humanity,
Gazing at the very core of it's unbridled soul...

My nerves are rattled, riddled with filth,
With a deep-seated loathing,
Nestled right between self-worth and self-pity;
In the eternal limbo of true neutrality,
Where even humans no longer dare to set foot;
In a place not at all fit for trespassers,
Where you can be protected by neither demons nor saints...

All things are one,
And one becomes all things.
You can be everywhere at once,
But really you're nowhere at all;
It is enough just to be somewhere...

Don't get lost through the looking glass,
You shoudn't go digging holes on the edges of cliffs,
For you don't know what you might find there;
Don't fall down the rabbit hole,
You'll fall prey to the madness and mayhem
That lurk in the darkness, awaiting you inside...

Don't go over the rainbow,
But instead keep your feet firmly planted on the ground...
Don't sail into an endless ocean,
You'll only set yourself adrift...
Don't journey through the endless catacombs
To the center of the Earth,
Else the Earth shall cease to exist evermore.

All of this is nonsense.
Every word of it.
Dare to dream of a higher illusion,
A grander delusion...
A deluge of knowledge to end all time...

No thank you, sunshine...
I'll take the darkness any day.
-TW- *trigger warning* This may be triggering to some because some of the metaphors represent RA-type stuff. So if you're affected, you might not want to read this. Just a heads up... If you don't know what that is, I'm not going to try to explain, but just be glad you don't. And if you do, I'm sorry.

This one is really personal to me and doesn't have to really make sense. As with all my poetry, interpret as you wish.

Interesting images, I really mean that, and philosophical! I think it's fascinating; it's almost as though, from this poem, I can see some of what goes on through your mind, if that makes any sense. And I think another interesting thing about this, for me, is that I don't even know the plot of this poem, or what is even the moral of the story. Maybe sometimes that can be a bad thing, but sometimes it can be an interesting thing. :)
So, good job, and sorry it's been a while, friend!:iconsabyworld:
