Thoughtless

Is it that hard to show someone compassion when they are weak?
Is it impossible to pick me up when I am down?
Is it unheard of to give me even a single moment of peace,
A moment that I rightfully earned?

Abandonment of free will is an impossibility, for you see...
There are many things in this world you cannot understand;
You could never grasp how much it hurts,
Could never begin to fathom the depths that forever fill
The vast oceans of my heart...  

You can plunder them, loot them all day long,
But then night will come and the beast will awaken;
Mindless creatures will haunt your nightmares for eternity,
And they will be every bit as cruel as you are.

I will never apologize, because I will never have what I am owed,
The thousands of apologies for polluting my waters,
For trying to taint my heart, until it's cold and black like yours...
I'll never be able to stand for such a thing,
I'm not like you; I've always known that I was different.

People are always so quick to mislead the misled;
You can lie to yourself, you can challenge it,
But I'll always know the truth, I don't need yours,
Because I already have my own, and it's beautiful.

So leave me be, stop plaguing me all the time,
Allow me to manifest my thoughts into destiny...
I never thought one of my own could be so callous,
You wander eternity without even a shred of a heart;
Thoughtless...
