At the end of the day,
It's just me...
Leaning softly
Against the page...
Crying out with hope;
Venting my frustrations,
My sadnesses and dreams...
Lilting, I hear your voice,
Roughly curling around my neck
Like a noose,
Soul locked in a vice,
Heart caught in a snare...
No one can compare...
And my own voice
C r a c k s
Every time I break inside,
When I have to say your name
Devoid of any attachment,
We were so devoted;
Detached...
Running through me,
Pouring through you,
There is such a stagnant pond;
Waters running deep
As strangers surveying
Intoxicating elixirs;
Entwined with destiny...
Sadness
d i s s o l v e s
everything;
A flashflood cascading through my heart,
Breaking down what is left of me,
And what I would give
Just to dance once again;
But there are no more words to say.
Deep down,
I am alone...
It's just me...
Leaning softly
Against the page...
Crying out with hope;
Venting my frustrations,
My sadnesses and dreams...
Lilting, I hear your voice,
Roughly curling around my neck
Like a noose,
Soul locked in a vice,
Heart caught in a snare...

Confrontation
You prefer to watch me fight,
knowing that the truth would have hurt less yesterday
when I was a little less angry and you weren’t quite so bitter
So I keep throwing punches,
trying to knock the surface loose until there is nothing left
except the pieces of you that never wanted me to begin with
because you don’t always believe love is enough for redemption
and my voice isn’t strong enough to prove my worth.

How to Save A Life (Poem)
How to Save A Life By J.C. Solis The sorrow inside that mounts to great lengths That swallows up what remains of our strengths This feeling that agonizes our cores For then we wish to not live anymore The abyss looks back and is calling our souls For it understands how much We took toll For this is a feeling that stays inside And some, this Death Call, they sadly abide What can one do when someone loses hope? How can you help them to manage and cope? What do they feel deep inside their hurt hearts? Why is it that they are coming apart? Why must this feeling be truly so cruel? Why must, over so many lives, it rules? What can be done to save our dear good friends? How can we tell them it’s not yet the end… Be kind and be brave, for the heart wants love Be the angel sent from heaven above Be the support that this lost soul now needs Patch up their wounds so they no longer bleed Ask them if there is something you can do Ask them if their tales of woe are all true And

This is stunning... it captures the essence of loneliness very well, a time where we are at our most vulnerable. In a way, I also think about emptiness in terms of doing everyday actions, that no matter what we do, we can't quench what we truly need...
